Today sees the release of a new update for Omega Crafter, an open-world survival crafting adventure developed by Preferred Networks. The update for the Early Access title focuses on fishing. Players can build a fishing rod, venture to the water, and cast a line to discover Omega Crafter’s new aquatic food source. Freshly caught fish can be consumed for a health boost or cooked into meals for temporary stat enhancements. The update introduces an element of patience and timing to successfully reel in fish. Additionally, the programmable sidekick Grammi now has fishing capabilities, allowing for automated seafood collection. Each biome features unique fish species, and players can find rare items glistening in the water.

Omega Crafter is a survival crafting game where developers can immerse themselves in the game to debug it from within. Players battle against malicious programs that impede development and aim to save the world of Omega Crafter before its official launch. The game features the programmable sidekick Grammi, who assists with resource gathering, gardening, shelter building, and more. Players can automate these tasks using pre-made behaviors or create custom ones with a drag-and-drop coding interface. Omega Crafter is now available on Steam Early Access for $24.99, with a 15% discount until this Saturday, July 20th.
