Children of Morta set for huge expansion in 2020
Children of Morta is set to receive a veritable mountain of extra content over the course of the next year. Dead Mage and 11 bit studios outlined their plans on how they wish to expand the story-driven rogue-lite RPG in the coming months. The majority of new content will be available for free to all that own the game. Only an upcoming expansion, titled Uncharted Lands will be released as paid DLC.
New content available to all players includes the Shrine of Challenge, which introduces hard difficulty and over 20 new items. The Setting Sun Inn will add a New Game+ mode, in which players can carry unlocked characters, skill trees, Morv, and Workshop Upgrades into a new playthrough. Random Encounter does exactly what it says on the tin, the Bergson’s House adds a new playable character and The Fellowship Sanctuary adds the much anticipated online co-op. The Temple of the Endless contains a series of arenas with waves of enemies, including a new boss and, the Treasure update contains more than 30 new items. All of this should prepare players for the premium DLC, the Uncharted Lands. Children of Morta is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
