Dead Space 3: Awakened

Dead Space 3 was a mixed bag, for fans of the previous games who enjoyed its horror aspects the latest instalment all but stripped it out of the game in favour of 2’s more action oriented aspects. For fans of action games however they found a tense action filled game that put their ability to survive on Tau Volantis in the forefront.

For those of us who enjoyed the tense atmosphere of the first two games and were sad to see the game be as action oriented as it was, there is still hope. Dead Space 3: Awakened is the first DLC coming to the game and its bringing all those elements that you enjoyed from the other games along with it.

Left for dead on Tau Volantis, Isaac Clarke and John Carver face a daunting journey. As madness takes hold, they find they can’t trust their eyes or each other. The trek leads to the ship Terra Nova, now home to a sadistic cult of Unitologists. The horror continues as the Dead Space saga enters its darkest chapter.

The DLC takes place after the events of Dead Space 3 as Isaac and Carver set out on Tau Volantis to find a way off the planet, and it seems their only hope of doing so is with the ship Terra Nova.
