Elder Scrolls Online – Coming soon to PS5 & Xbox series X|S!
The popular MMO ‘Elder Scrolls Online’ will be arriving on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 on June 8, 2021! This will be an enhanced version, specifically suited for these next-gen platforms, aptly named: The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced. Anyone who has previously purchased The Elder Scrolls Online for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will receive the Console Enhanced version of the game for free.
Elder Scrolls Online (abbreviated as: ESO) is a MMO RPG developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, and published by Bethesda Softworks. This game was released in April 2014 for Windows and MacOS, with a version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One following a year later. The Elder Scrolls Online is set in a medieval fantasy setting, and features a storyline indirectly connected with the other games in the Elder Scrolls franchise.
ESO: Console Enhanced is a giant leap forward in performance and graphics on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Upgrades include a 60fps mode, a 4K mode, increased draw distance, and improved loading times. This next-gen version of the game has been announced during the Blackwood Chapter preview. In this chapter, players will unravel the Daedric plots and tyrannical schemes that plague the region and discover the connection between the Prince of Destruction and his gruesome plans for Tamriel. Although the Blackwood chapter is a standalone story, it does continue the overarching story of ‘Gates of Oblivion’ that will unfold throughout 2021. The Blackwood Chapter will be released on PC on June 1, 2021, and will be available on consoles, including ESO: Console Enhanced, on June 8, 2021. Players can pre-order the Blackwood Chapter from the ESO Store or any platform store of their choice.
Players can also look forward to a new Companions system! After you unlock this feature in Blackwood’s main story, you can choose from two new companions to start with, of which you can determine their playing style by choosing their equipment and leveling their skills. Each companion has their own personality, preferences and unique quests. Keep in mind how you interact with your companions, because your actions affect your relationship with your companion.
