Europa Universalis IV: El Dorado expansion announced
The freshly announced February expansion for Europa Universalis IV will bring the adventure and politics of the spanish conquest, with the Nation Designer as its centerpiece. This new tool will let you customize your starting nation in a campaign, including national ideas and custom monarchs. The expansion’s focus on Central and South America comes with lots of new and challenging decisions for your king or conqueror. As the Aztecs, conquer Mexico and sacrifice vassal kings to your angry gods, or as Europeans, explore the jungles of the amazon, chasing lost cities and magical fountains.
Other features include new religions like Nahuatl, Inti and Mayan ideologies, with blood sacrifices or sun worship, the ability to hunt for the Seven Cities of Gold, setting up and defending Gold Fleets and much more. Even the pope himself makes an appearance, so better try and keep good relations with Rome and get rewarded with some territories when He eventually intervenes to divide the new world among the squabbling empires.
