Evolve – First batch of DLC announced
2K and Turtle Rock Studios announced the first batch of DLC for Evolve today. It includes the fourth monster, four new hunters, a new game mode and two new maps. The new monster is named the Behemoth, its main ability lets it transform into a massive boulder to roll around the map quickly. The new hunters are Torvald, a cyborg assault character with mortar cannon. Crow, a trapper with a pet Batray to track monsters. Slim, a genetically modified medic and Sunny, the team member in charge of providing support who wields a mini-nuke launcher.
The observer mode is a free addition for every player, adding a sixth passive slot to each game for an observer. The big idea is to provide some way to livestream and commentate Matches. The two new maps (which are also free for every Evolve player) are named ‘Broken Hill Mine’ and ‘Broken Hill Foundry’.
It seems the controversy about the price tag of the DLC passes is far from over: The monster will set you back €14.99/$14.99, the four hunters will cost you €24.99/$24.99, or €7.49/$7.49 each. The new playable characters and observer mode are available right now, while the two maps are available on Xbox One right now and only coming to PC and PlayStation 4 on 30 april.
