First Look at Scythia – Civilization VI
Some more news just in on the Civilization front, as Firaxis have announced Scythia as another playable nation in Civilization VI. Lead by the fearsome Tomyris who is said to have killed and defeated Cyrus the Great of the Persian Empire, and storing his severed head in a wineskin full of blood before declaring; “I warned you that I would quench your thirst for blood.” Scythia is slated to be an early-game military powerhouse nation which specializes in mounted warriors.
To support this martial design, Scythia players will have access to the Saka Horse Archer unique unit and as a nice perk, training this or some other light cavalry units will award the player 2 units instead of one. Talk about buy one get one free. The Scythian’s unique building is the Kurgan which will provide faith and gold, plus a bonus when placed near pastures.
