Free copy of Metro 2033 novel for Steam gamers
Metro: Last Light’s release is slowly creeping up on us, so many games lately are ready to give out really boring and inconsequential pre-order bonuses these days. A lot of the times they are either going to eventually be released later down the line as DLC for the game or you’re getting a piece of DLC that you probably wouldn’t have paid for if it wasn’t free.
Luckily that’s not the case with 4A games upcoming game published by Deep Silver. Though you might not have known this Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are actually based on a book.
Metro: 2033 is a popular Russian book written by Dmitry Glukhovsky and published in 2005 in Russia. Like the game the book centers around survivors who have sheltered themselves in the Russian Metro stations throughout the country to protect themselves from a nuclear holocaust. Though Glukhovsky has only written one book in the Metro 2033 universe he has encouraged other writers to write in it as well, he based the book in the Russian Metro because that is what he knows and encourages the other writers to create stories centered around where they live, to show how different locations around the world have fared in the nuclear war.
If this sounds like something you want to read you’re in luck if you purchase Metro: Last Light and activate it on Steam you’ll be rewarded with a digital copy of Metro 2033 for your eReader devices. Much better than some silly old extra costume I must say.
Metro: Last Light is set to release on May 14th
