Free update Cursed Sails introduces skeleton ships to Sea of Thieves on July 31st
Sea of Thieves’ first summer update called Cursed Sails will be available on July 31st. This will be the biggest update the game has known so far and introduces skeleton ships, the new brigantine for three players and the possibility to form alliances with other players for bigger challenges and better rewards.
The new content is going to be permanent but is introduced into the game through a special, temporary campaign called Cursed Sails. So no worries if you can’t take part in the temporary introduction. In the campaign, that lasts three weeks, skeleton ships terrorize outposts and pirates are challenged to battle. Unique rewards can be earned and through a side mission players can look for the source of the skeleton plague.
The update is free for everyone who plays Sea of Thieves with a Xbox Game Pass or who has bought the game for an Xbox One console or Windows 10 PC.
