Get your guitar out for Rocksmith+!
Ubisoft has announced Rocksmith+, a brand new subscription service that will allow players to learn to play guitar and bass through their favorite songs. The service builds on the foundations laid by the acclaimed Rocksmith-method, which has aided nearly five million people in learning to play the guitar. Rocksmith+ will launch this summer on Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store. It will also become available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this fall. Additionally, iOS and Android versions are planned to launch some time after the console versions. Rocksmith+ is being developed by Ubisoft San Francisco in coöperation with Ubisoft Osaka and Ubisoft Pune.
Rocksmith+ is compatible with acoustic, electric and bass guitars and launches with an expanding music library containing thousands of tracks in different genres, including rock, classical, hip-hop, pop, metal, country and R&B. The service offers various authentic tools to display these tracks in the same way as they were originally played by the artists. Additionally, all tracks are playable with a chord schematic. Users will also gain access to free online videos that will teach them about techniques, music theory, gear, instrument maintenance and much more.
