Habbo’s Spring Fashion Contest comes to a conclusion!

Virtual and social games developer Sulake has today announced the close of Habbo’s Spring Fashion Contest. Habbo is an online vintage pixel-art virtual community where players can create their avatar, meet new friends, play games, and design buildings. The winner of the seasonal festival is known as -Push, from Chile! The goal of this seasonal competition was to have players use their immersive imagination and create a new garment to be sold in-game. All proceedings made by the item sales will be then donated to a charity of the winner’s choice.

Throughout April, players across the globe have sent in a total of 917 creative pixel art clothing designs, which then had to be judged by an expert jury. The Habbo community also voted for their favorite design thus helping to narrow the winner for the jury’s final vote. Sulake is now in the process of developing the design into an in-game item, and donating the money to Save the Children International after agreement with the winner, -Push.

To help judge the competition, Martina Mondadori offered a refined and experienced design acumen to the jury. Part of the board of directors of Arnoldo Mondadori Editore publishing group, in 2014 she established the renowned magazine Cabana, which focuses on Timeless Interiors and Decorative Arts.
