Home Release – The Newsroom Season 2
In The Newsroom we follow anchorman Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) and executive producer Mackenzie McHale (Emily Mortimer), who work for the fictional ACN Network. The show uses references to real world events, intermixing it with fictional day-by-day events.
When a BP drilling rig explodes in the Gulf of Mexico, the news crew must deal with a very hectic workday and decide how to combine the need to be commercial with the purpose of a news program.
The Newsroom is created by Aaron Sorkin, who also created The West Wing and the scenario for The Social Network.
The Newsroom comes out on November 5th, on DVD.
