Humorous sci-fi movie Mickey 17 comes to home streaming and get physical release
When we think about the future of humanity, we often prefer to imagine quite ambitious things for ourselves. But even in the future, somebody needs to get stuck in the sucky jobs. From Bong Joon-ho, director of classic thrillers such as Parasite and Snowpiercer, Mickey 17 is a dark comedy sci-fi movie about Mickey Barnes (played by Robert Pattinson). Enlisting on a spacecraft that will colonize a better planet, Mickey has no choice but to sign on as an ‘expendable’, a person whose genetic material is saved so that they can be cloned upon death. That way, the expendable can be used for any dangerous or lethal situations that occur, and their death can be made undone. But when one clone is created while the former Mickey still lives, this sets in motion a series of events both hilarious and horrifying. Mickey 17 will be available for viewing at home through all major streaming services on July 17th (Prime video, Google, YouTube, Apple TV, Microsoft, Rakuten, Proximus Pickx, BeTV, and Telenet), and a physical release will happen on the same day where you’ll be able to get the movie on DVD, Blu-ray ot Steelbook 4K UHD.
