Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX coming this fall
The Kingdom Hearts games are beloved by many, the mixture of Final Fantasy and Disney is one that few people would have thought would blend together as well as it does. Unfortunately for many we haven’t seen a numbered title in the franchise, and instead gamers have to satiate their appetite for the franchise with the portable games that they have released since then. We haven’t had a Kingdom Hearts grace a home console since Kingdom Hearts 2 released in 2005 on the PS2, though gamers in Japan were lucky that in 2007 Square Enix released Kingdom Hearts 2 final mix+.
Final Mix+ was akin to a directors cut of Kingdom Hearts 2 and was packed in with more cut scenes and bosses than the original release, along with Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. Chain of Memories was originally a Game Boy Advanced game that bridged the gap between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, which was then reworked replacing the sprites of Chain of Memories with polygons.
For those of you who don’t live in Japan but still love the Kingdom Hearts games Square recently announced Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX coming this fall to the Playstation 3. You’ll find Kingdom Hearts Final Mix in the collection which brings over everything from the Final Mix+ collection along with trophy support and HD graphics, along for the ride you’ll find Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and a collection of the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days cut scenes remastered in HD.
