Or you know the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup effect, we’ve been seeing more and more of these video game crossovers lately and it seems that Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead are the next games to join in on the fun. When you boot up Resident Evil 6 you will find a PC exclusive mode titled ‘The Mercenaries No Mercy’ in the mode you’ll be able to select one of the four characters from Left 4 Dead 2; Coach, Nick, Ellis, or Rochelle with each character having their own exclusive loadout specific to each character. Whether or not you pick one of the 4 Left 4 Dead 2 characters to play as you’ll quickly find out that the Witch and the mini Tank have made their way over as well as they fight you out in the mode.
Resident Evil 6 isn’t the only one getting more characters, in Left 4 Dead 2 you’ll get a free updating adding the Resident Evil 6 monstrosities Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman into the game.
“We’re huge Resident Evil fans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combine L4D2 and RE6, we jumped at it,” said Valve’s Chet Faliszek.
“The Resident Evil 6 team really enjoyed working on this crossover, and we’re confident that our fans will have a great time with it too!” Resident Evil 6 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi chimes in.
