Marvel’s Avengers – Introducing Kate Bishop: Operation Taking AIM
Kate Bishop is the next playable superhero for Marvel’s Avengers, and will be introduced to the game on December 8, 2020 as part of Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM. Players will receive the new hero and storyline at no additional cost. Marvel’s Avengers is a action role-playing game developed by Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, Crystal Northwest & Nixxes Software, and published by Square Enix. This game was released on August 14, 2020, with more characters are being added in free updates, which also add new regions and new storylines to be explored.
The prelude to Taking AIM began with mysterious new Tachyon missions that started appearing on players’ War Tables a few weeks ago. In Taking AIM, Kate Bishop, a master archer and skilled athlete, will reappear. Her investigation into Nick Fury’s disappearance following A-Day led to her mentor Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) disappearing as well. As she unravels the mystery behind the sudden appearance of the time-warping Tachyon Rifts, she discovers a new, insane plan from AIM, prompting her to team up with the Avengers again. In addition to the new playable superhero Kate Bishop and the next chapter in the ongoing Avengers Initiative story, Taking AIM will also introduce a powerful new villain, the Super Adaptoid, who will challenge players with a combination of skills and weapons that mimic the Avengers’ attacks.
The story of “Taking AIM” begins shortly after the conclusion of Marvel’s Avengers‘ Reassemble campaign and is just the first half of the two Hawkeyes’ Story Arc. Clint Barton’s Hawkeye will then take the stage in early 2021 to complete the double-feature and lay the groundwork for what’s next in the Avengers Initiative.
