More details about Guild Wars 2’s Through The Veil update!
Guild Wars 2 is set to expand its horizons with the imminent release of its debut post-launch content update, Through the Veil. Scheduled to launch on November 7, this update is offered as a complimentary addition for all players who have already acquired, or plan to acquire, the Secrets of the Obscure expansion. Through the Veil promises an array of new content, encompassing an uncharted map, fresh activities, and encounters. Players will venture into Nayos, the Realm of Dreams, as they confront the Kryptis and delve deeper into their invasion of Tyria. A significant addition in this update is the Inner Nayos map, a previously unexplored region within the Kryptis realm. This new area introduces a mastery track directly associated with a novel type of encounter known as Convergences. These large-scale rifts, situated in a unique arena, expand upon the existing rift hunting activities initially introduced in Secrets of the Obscure. They also provide an opportunity for groups of up to 50 players to confront the most formidable threats among the Kryptis ranks.
For players engaged in the seasonal Wizard’s Vault, the update brings new, earnable rewards, including three unique armor pieces, a new infusion, and more. Furthermore, the introduction of the Legacy Rewards tab ensures that exclusive cosmetic rewards from previous seasons remain accessible. Additional enhancements in this update include obtainable relics, enabling further character build possibilities, as well as a more challenging mode for the Cosmic Observatory strike mission. It’s worth noting that the Secrets of the Obscure expansion continues its commitment to delivering additional content at no extra cost to expansion owners, extending into 2024. Additionally, players can anticipate trying out a new weapon for their chosen profession on November 28. Leading up to the upcoming major expansion update, a special beta event from November 28 to December 3 allows players to explore the expanded weapon proficiencies feature and provide feedback.
