Ravenwatch adds a brand new hero
Roguelike action game Ravenwatch has already been making some waves on Steam Early Access. In the next update, an eighth hero will be added to the game’s growning lineup. In Ravenwatch, players take on the role of one of the fallen heroes who faces The Nightmares that have invaded Reverie. Players can take on the game solo, or grab up to three friends to enjoy some co-op fun.
The next hero to join the titular Ravenwatch is Sun Wukong, the immoral monkey king. He lost his powers and now has to work together with the people he looked down on for so long. Being a master of martial arts and having attained a godly status made him a force to be feared in his own right. However, even with his glory days behind him he hasn’t lost his feeling of superiority, so working together with him won’t be an easy feat. His impressive arsenal of attacks makes him a worthy ally, however. Sun Wukong is a master in taking on big groups of enemies, jumping from one foe to the next to deliver a plethora of hits. Along with this comes a unique parry skill that can be used continuously if the timing is right. Fighting with his fist isn’t the only trick he has either: players that align themselves with the Monkey King will be able to enjoy some magical abilities like summoning clones and using transfiguration to get the upper hand on the Nightmare-hordes. The update that adds this interesting hero is scheduled to arrive on November 16th.
Ravenswatch is currently on Steam Early Access with a total of seven heroes and two chapters, with regular updates like more characters and story missions planned down the road. Check the game out now, or wait for the full release in 2024 for consoles.
