Release date confirmed for the Switch port of Remnant: From the Ashes
Remnant: From the Ashes has been quite a popular title amongst fans of the Soulslike genre, as this shooter comes with fun gameplay and the ability to play cooperatively with friends. Originally released in 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, by Perfect World and Gearbox Publishing, the game would see a next-gen debut in 2021. The only platform that did not yet have a port was the Switch. Creating a game for this limiting hardware can prove a challenge, but it looks like developer Gunfire Games managed to pull it off.
Explore the four dynamically-generated worlds that change every time you play through them and encounter the large range of different hostile monsters that inhabit these locations. Alone or together with up to two friends you’ll pick up your weapons and slay everything that comes in your path. Work closely together and reap the rewards of your skirmishes by looting and gathering upgrade materials for your weapons and armor. Level up your character and become strong enough to eventually take on the many epic bosses that the game has to offer. Don’t think of this as a shooter, but rather as a Dark Souls with guns, like Bloodborne but better.
Key features include:
- Explore dynamically-generated worlds that change each time you play through them, creating new maps, enemy encounters, quest opportunities, and in-world events
- Overcome enemies and epic bosses to earn experience, valuable loot and upgrade materials you can use to build a wicked arsenal of weapons, armor, and modifications
- Team up with up to two other players to increase your chances of survival. Teamwork is necessary to make it through the game’s toughest challenges… and unlock its greatest rewards.
Remnant: From the Ashes will be released for the Switch on March 21st at the price of €39.99/ $39.99/ £34.99
