Road Redemption Brings Motorcycle Mayhem to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 Today
Tripwire Interactive, developers of the award-winning Killing Floor and Red Orchestra franchises announced today that Road Redemption, the beloved spiritual successor to Road Rash, launches today for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. We’ll have to wait a little longer for the Xbox One version, as well as the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. After a successful crowdfunding campaign and Steam launch with very positive user, Steam Curator, and critic review, Triplewire Interactive is here to bring Road Redemption’s unique brand of driving combat and motorcycle mayhem to console systems. The game will set you back $19.99/€ 19.99/£17.99.
Players of the game will find themselves leading a biker gang on an epic journey across the U.S. in a driving combat road rage adventure. Earn money by completing challenges like races, assassinations, robberies, etc. Along the way you’ll be able to upgrade your character, bike, and weapons so you can build the ultimate road warrior. Besides a huge single-players campaign, you can also enjoy a full 4-player co-op split-screen and online multiplayer mode.
Road Redemption key features include:
- Singleplayer campaign
- Online Multiplayer
- Local Multiplayer + Co-op
- Shared/Splitscreen
- Brutal weapons
- Deep motorcycle combat system complete with grabs, kicks, counters, critical strikes, and more
- Rooftop racing and non-stop emergent action
Today’s announcement follows recent news about the first ever in-game crossover event for Killing Floor 2 and Road Redemption on Steam. If you have both titles in your Steam library, you’ll probably have noticed the addition of the Road Redeemer chained bat melee weapon from Road Redemption in Killing Floor 2 and two new riders in Road Redemption from the Killing Floor 2 universe. This crossover is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year with the upcoming launch of Killing Floor 2’s yearly winter update.
