Rune Factory 4 Special lands on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC today!
Today sees the release of Marvelous Europe’s title Rune Factory 4 Special on PS4 (playable on PS5), Xbox one (playable on Xbox Series X|S), and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store, having launched on Switch in February last year. This addition to the Rune Factory franchise delivers an expanded version of the acclaimed RPG action, farming, and life simulation in a single package. The game allows players to create a fulfilling routine for themselves in the town of Selphia. Taking on the title of prince or princess of this quaint town, they can forge their own destiny as an Earthmate, whether that means a quiet life working the fields, building close relationships with the townsfolk, or delving into dungeons with the wide array of weapons and magical powers at their command. By deepening relationships with the residents, they can even get married to one of twelve possible candidates!
In addition to the base game, Rune Factory 4 also includes the ‘Another Episode’ DLC, which adds a series of illustrated storybook-style episodes narrated by the game’s 12 marriage candidates and Selphia’s lovable guardian dragon Ventuswill. The game features all content of the original 2013 Rune Factory 4 release on 3DS, but also introduces a ton of new content, including ‘Newlywed Mode,’ self-contained adventures that unlock after marrying one of the game’s eligible candidates, and a “Hell” difficulty level for players seeking a true challenge. You can pick up this exciting new release now through the various digital storefronts across all platforms. The Switch version is available as a physical release as well.
