SaGa Frontier Remastered announced for 2021
During a live stream for their popular mobile adventure RPG Romancing SaGa Re; Universe, Square Enix announced that cult classic SaGa Frontier is set to make its return in 2021. SaGa Frontier originally debuted in the West in 1998 and now comes back as SaGa Frontier Remastered. The game will release digitally in the summer of 2021 as part of the ongoing SaGa Project. This project also covers the Western releases of Romancing SaGa 3, SaGa SCARLET GRACE AMBITIONS and Romancing SaGa Re; Universe.
SaGa Frontier Remaster‘s development is supervised by industry veteran Akitoshi Kawazu of Final Fantasy and the SaGa-series fame. It will offer a veritable treasure trove of exciting improvements and additions including remastered graphics, new story content with Fuse as its protagonist, new character events for Asellus and the “Glimmer” ability that allows characters to learn new abilities and attacks. To celebrate the announcement, SaGa Frontier content has been added to Romancing Saga Re; Universe. Players can now obtain SS Alkaiser, SS Emelia, SS Blue and SS Rogue through a temporary Ultra-Deluxe Summon until the 9th of December. SaGa Frontier Remastered will launch on PS4, Switch, PC, Android and iOS.
