Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice arrive in Multiversus
Warner Bros. Games has announced that MultiVersus will add Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice to its roster of characters in Season 2: Back in Time. Samurai Jack, from the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim series, will be available today, alongside the launch of MultiVersus Season 2. Beetlejuice will be added later in the season, prior to the release of the Warner Bros. Pictures film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the 1988 film Beetlejuice, on September 11. Samurai Jack, known for his quest to return to the past after being sent into the future by the demon Aku, is a skilled warrior with exceptional swordsmanship and agility. The new gameplay trailer for MultiVersus, viewable below, highlights Samurai Jack’s abilities as a Bruiser-class character, showcasing his use of a mystical katana, agile footwork, and quick reflexes. The trailer also introduces the Righteous Warrior Jack character variant, available in-game from July 23.
Additionally, Ranked mode will be introduced today, allowing players to compete in 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 matches for points on the leaderboard to earn exclusive cosmetic rewards. Season 2 will also feature a new map, Water Tower, where players can battle on the Warner Bros. Water Tower with references to various Warner Bros. Discovery characters and franchises. MultiVersus, developed by Player First Games, is available as a free download for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with full support for cross-play and cross-progression.
