Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2
When it comes to multi-player in FPS games, I tend to be the sniper on our team. I don’t like to run up with a shotgun or an assault rifle because I don’t have that kind of twitchy reflex that it requires. Put me in an isolated area of the map with a clear eye-line and while everyone is busy shooting at one another, and waiting for someone to pop around a corner so they can get a kill and I’ll take people down one after another with the help of the rest of the team.
That kind of experience is hard to replicate in a single-player environment, even harder yet is to replicate the experience of what an actual sniper does in the military.
It’s admirable that City Interactive the developers and publishers behind Sniper Ghost Warrior 2, continue to try to bring about that kind of experience to gamers. It’s just unfortunate that the kind of experience isn’t exciting enough to most people that the campaign seems to be full of these over the top Call of Duty-esque set pieces. Cest la vie
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is set to release on PS3, 360, and PC March 12th
