SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy: Jeanne DLC – Review
A little less than a month ago we had the chance to check out the three new DLC characters for SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy, which proved to be quite fun, albeit at a fairly high price tag. Nonetheless, it showed that the developers are doing their best to keep the game alive by creating additional content and patching the game as they go. This time we have the last announced fighter that steps into the ring, namely Jeanne, a bit of an odd contender as she wields a sword and shining armor. We were ready to become bedazzled by this new warrior.
Just like the previous DLC review, this discussion will be fairly short. Jeanne is a somewhat bulkier fighter and finds herself to be a powerhouse, rather than a quick and agile fighter. Her attacks are heavily dependent on her sword, and hence the slower buildup. Her special moves are effective but lack a bit of grandeur that would have made the character a lot more fun to look at. The same can be said about her finishing move, which lacks a bit of a punch, but it does come with a reasonable range, making it fairly effective.
Unlike the previous DLC characters, Jeanne comes with three different outfits, which is actually quite fun, especially her mix-up of a traditional samurai suit of armor and a bikini set will win over the hearts of many players. Her standard equipment is a bit on the bland side however, it either lacks some shiny details or some wear or tear, because it seems somewhere stuck in the middle for the time being.
Conclusion
Jeanne is a fun contender to step into the female tag team arena. She comes with fun visuals, even if she is somewhat the oddball of the group, and she does have a proper move set. The character might not be the fastest one in the roster, but she does pack a proper punch. We only missed a little bit of ‘punch’ when it came to the execution of her moves and finishing move.
