Sunseeker’s X Gen 2 series brings the future to lawnmowing
Earlier this week, Sunseeker Robotics hosted its 2026 European media preview at Château de Terblock in Brussels, marking the brand’s first in-person showcase for the Belgian market. Alongside the brand’s established X4 and X9 lines, the new X Gen 2 series robotic lawnmowers series was demonstrated live, highlighting how advanced navigation, Vision AI, and intelligent automation are reshaping modern garden maintenance. Designed to meet growing demand for precision and premium-quality finishes, the X Gen 2 range blends sleek design with high-performance engineering to deliver a more effortless and enjoyable mowing experience. The launch also reflects Sunseeker’s dual-brand strategy: the premium Sunseeker Elite line, covering gardens from 800 m² to 24,000 m², and the more accessible Sunseeker range, which targets everyday users with models tailored for smaller gardens and simpler operation.
At the core of the X Gen 2 series is the upgraded AONavi 2.0 system, combining nRTK and VSLAM 2.0 technologies to achieve centimeter-level accuracy without the need for boundary wires or antenna stations. Powered by a 10 TOPS chip, the system enables rapid real-time mapping and stable performance, even in complex layouts. The enhanced Vision AI 2.0 system is equipped with a binocular camera and iToF sensor, in order to improve obstacle detection and spatial awareness in both daylight and low-light conditions, allowing the mower to navigate passages as narrow as 70 cm. Additional features such as dual mowing decks, electronic cutting height adjustment, and the ATC (All-Terrain Conquer) system, which is capable of handling slopes up to 70%, ensure strong traction and consistent results across varied terrain. With this launch, Sunseeker reinforces its long-term commitment to the European market, positioning intelligent automation, sustainability, and design at the forefront of autonomous lawn care innovation.
