Teaser trailer of A Land Fit For Heroes released
The developer behind the gamebook series Narborion Saga, namely Gollancz, has released a teaser trailer for his next project – an adventurous gamebook dubbed A Land Fit For Heroes. The morbid fantasy title is based on Richard Morgan’s trilogy of dark fantasy novels The Steel Remains, The Cold Commands and The Dark Defiles.
It is the first time that bestselling author Richard Morgan, who was also the writer of Crysis 2 and Syndicate, brings his dark and violent trilogy to life in the form of a three-player gamebook. The multiplayer interactive gamebook will be telling the tales of the traumatic and tortured lives of three unlikely heroes with three interlocking storylines, allowing the reader to decide upon the fates of the protagonists during gameplay. At the same time, the gamebook is the first in its kind to allow the player to choose the sexual orientation of their character, which mirrors the diversity of the characters in the novels themselves. Additionally, the gamebooks aim to retain the graphically violent nature of combat and adult themes.
A Land Fit For Heroes is set to release on iOS and Android devices at the end of October. The launch on Steam is expected to come a little later, somewhere in December.
