Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhatten officially revealed
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or TMNT in short, have been around for some decades already. It’s not surprising that the fan base is mostly comprised of adults but the franchise has been given a new life to make sure that young adults can enjoy the classic heroes too. Activision Publishing, Nickelodeon and Platinum Games Inc have formed an unlikely alliance to develop a third-person action game featuring the New York’s most loved sewer-brewed superheroes.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhatten you can play as one of the four characters, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo or Raphael, in a single-player campaign. You can also team up with three of your friends to battle aliens, mutants and the Foot Clan in the four-player online co-op mode. With keywords such as speed, teamwork and action the player is challenged on various levels and defeating Bebop, Rocksteady, Shredder and many other iconic bosses will not be an easy task for these trained warriors.
Each of the four characters have their own set of weapons as well as strengths and weaknesses, each character will reveal a different gameplay experience. The uniqueness is highlighted even further by allowing the player to customize them with unique sets of Ninjutsu moves, combat items and other special bonuses. With vibrant shell-shaded art design and the original story by Tom Waltz to boot, this game might as well become one of the most-appraised video games inspired by comic books and classic animated series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhatten is expected to be released in the summer of 2016 and will appear as retail and digital copies for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
