The DC Universe returns with two new animated movies!
It’s going to be a while before Warner Bros releases the Robert Pattinson-helmed The Batman (or any live-action DC film, for that matter), but to tide fans over, two new animated movies are on their way to DVD and Blu-ray. Justice Society: World War II sees the heroes of the titular Justice Society attempt to make the world a better place as the second world war rages on. They receive help in the future in the form of present-day Barry Allen, aka The Flash. Will our heroes be able to change the course of history?
Bat-fans can look forward to Batman: The Long Halloween – part 1. This adaptation of the iconic DC story from the 90s by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale gives us a glimpse at Bruce Wayne’s early years as a crime fighter. Batman attempts to find out the identity of the mysterious serial killer Holiday, who strikes during national holidays. As he searches, he comes face to face with some of his sneakiest and deadliest foes. Justice Society World War II is available on DVD starting on the 26th of May and Batman: The Long Halloween – part 1 is set to release on DVD and Blu-ray on the 23rd of June.
