The first content update for WoW: The War Within arrives soon
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that World of Warcraft‘s first content update for The War Within (11.0.5) will go live on October 23, following regional maintenance. This update kicks off a series of in-game events celebrating *World of Warcraft*’s upcoming 20th anniversary on November 23, offering players a range of activities and rewards. One of the major highlights is the addition of a new raid, Blackrock Depths, a reimagined version of the classic dungeon. Now designed for 10-15 players, the raid features eight bosses and will be available in LFR, Normal, and Heroic difficulties.
Players can also look forward to Timewalking Dungeons, with fan-favorite dungeons like Deadmines, Dire Maul, and Stratholme making a return. These will officially become part of the Timewalking rotation after the anniversary event ends. New world bosses, including Sha of Anger from Mists of Pandaria and Archavon the Stonewatcher from Wrath of the Lich King, will also appear with improved rewards.
Additionally, players can earn new mounts, pets, and transmog sets by collecting Bronze Celebration Tokens. Modernized Tier 2 armor sets will also be available for all classes, including newly designed versions for classes introduced after the Tier 2 era.
The 11.0.5 update will also introduce class balance changes, new quests, and expand the Dracthyr race with six new combat classes, including rogue, mage, and priest.
