The Rugrats are back!
Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland, a retro-inspired puzzle-platforming adventure based on the beloved ’90s Nickelodeon series, launches today on PC, PS4, PS5 and Switch. It will also be available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One starting tomorrow. Players can join Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil on a classic adventure through imaginative worlds, including ice cream fields, haunted landscapes, and backyard jungles. Fan-favorite characters such as Cynthia the doll, Spike the dog, and Reptar the dinosaur also make appearances. The gameplay features NES-era-inspired puzzle-platforming mechanics, where players can jump, dash, and climb while collecting items like cookies, bottles, and Reptar coins. Each character offers unique abilities to help solve puzzles and tackle challenges, including throwing projectiles and engaging in fast-paced chases.
The game offers a blend of 8-bit visuals and hand-drawn animations in high definition, powered by The MIX Games’ Neo Retro Engine, allowing players to switch between both styles. Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland is priced at USD $24.99 and available digitally today, with physical editions coming soon via Limited Run Games.
