The Troop leaves Early Access next month
The Troop, a turn-based tactical game set during World War II and developed by PLA Studios and Giant Flame, is scheduled to leave its early access phase on October 10, 2023. This game, driven by a passion for World War II history and turn-based gameplay, has evolved significantly based on player feedback since its initial Early Access launch in 2021. With its forthcoming full release on PC, The Troop will introduce several new features and gameplay enhancements. The Troop transports players back to the turbulent days of World War II, specifically to the monumental D-Day landing on June 6, 1944. As the Western Allies initiated the largest seaborne invasion in history, players will experience the intense battle to liberate Northwest Europe from German control. Fields, farms, and villages set the stage for a campaign in which lethal weapons would rise to legendary status.
In The Troop, players will take command of British and Canadian forces pitted against the formidable German Heer and SS in Normandy. Engage in tactical, turn-based combat against a challenging AI opponent that is both unpredictable and fair. This game embodies the best traditions of classic tabletop wargaming, enhanced by the interactivity and excitement of the digital format. Players have full control over their units’ actions, ensuring a realistic and immersive experience.
