Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 available now
Most of us have been counting down the days towards the release of the second installment in the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise, and today we can all rejoice as the game became available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 takes place seven months after a deadly virus was released in New York City but surprisingly the story does not take place in NYC. Instead, it takes place in a war-torn Washington D.C. and as Division Agents the players are the last line of defense to prevent hostile factions to reach the inner city.
The game comes with a campaign mode, which is playable as a solo campaign or co-op with three other players, as well as the unique Dark Zone experiences from the first installment. In the Dark Zone, players play solo or co-op against enemies, or if they chose so, betray each other and reap the rewards for themselves. Of course, a multiplayer mode is also available. Check out the trailer below to see what The Division 2 is all about.
Once players have completed the campaign, Washington D.C. will be taken over by the Black Tusk, a new faction which ensures end game content. It won’t be long now before free content will be released in the form of Tidal Basin, featuring a new Black Tusk stronghold, Operation Dark Hours and the first eight-player Raid. Episode 1: D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions is also expected to be released in the summer of 2019, whilst Episode 2: Pentagon: The Last Castle is set for Spring 2019. The last batch of content will be released in the winter of 2019, dubbed as Episode 3. Each episode will include new areas, missions, game modes and much more to the gigantic world of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
