Velocity 2X and Manual Samuel soon to be released on the Switch!
Curve Digital will release two games for the Switch this August. FuturLab’s hit shmup hybrid Velocity 2X was first released on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 in 2014. It was well received earning a MetaCritic score of 90 on Vita and 86 on PlayStation 4. Being the first title that makes it onto the Nintendo platform, Velocity 2X follows the story of Lt. Kai Tana, a brave pilot who has found herself stranded a long way from home after getting sucked through a black hole. Discovered and experimented on by an evil alien race called the Vokh, Kai Tana has recently escaped with her “Quarp Jet” and must outrun her captors.
The other game is Perfectly Paranormal’s peculiar comedy Manual Samuel. You play as Samuel, who just died in a car accident. Making a deal with Death, he allows you to live on if you manage to control your every muscle. Your task is to control even the most basic things like walking, blinking, inhaling and exhaling of your hilariously helpless human as he dresses himself, goes to work and so forth. There are multiple play modes to challenge yourself further or play with friends.
