Crytek studio is a game developer best known for the Far Cry and Crysis series. Today they revealed the first details for the upcoming special mission and latest addition to their online shooter Warface which has 48 million registered user worldwide. After the tragic nuclear accident, Chernobyl got turned into a ghost-town. People haven’t yet returned due to high radiation levels which will kill you if you are exposed to them for too long. It is however a perfect setting to create a dark sinister game. The developers visited the exclusion zone several times to capture the grim atmosphere as best as possible. The mission will add new plot points on which the story can further build. Besides more story material there will also be new enemies and bosses. Tournaments will also be held including the recently announced first international season Warfare Open Cup, which will launch in Europe and USA. The winners will proceed to the LAN-finals in Moscow early 2018. Teams from North America, Europe, Brazil and Russia will be competing in this tournament.
