Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is a roguelite action-adventure game developed by Brownies inc and now published with the help of experienced game producer Bandai Namco. The game takes you to the whimsical Shinju village, where a priestess named Towa must rise to the challenge when the power-hungry Magatsu threatens their peaceful existence. She teams up with a colorful array of characters that you can control, as you engage in exciting battles full of ancient Japanese weapons and magic. The hand-drawn character art is a standout feature, though the gameplay itself doesn’t look half bad either.
