Slaughtering dragons for charity works, raises $200,000
An initiative by Bethesda that got known as #SlayDragonsSaveCate promised to donate one dollar for every five dragons that would be killed in The Elder Scrolls Online, to a maximum of $200,000. In about two months’ time, players reached this $200,000 goal, meaning about a million virtual dragons died to give real animals a better life by donating the money to the charities Animal Society and Four Paws. On top of that, a rough one and a half thousand dollars got donated directly without any dragons laying down their lives.
