2015’s LEGO line-up will drown you in bricks
The past years have been more than gentle to the LEGO video game series. In the past five years, the concept has really hit its stride, tackling Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, the DC universe, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, its very own LEGO Movie and of course the Marvel universe.
This year, Warner Bros., TT Games and The LEGO Group are planning to kick it up yet another notch, releasing five LEGO titles in the coming months. One of these, The LEGO Movie Video Game, is an iOS version of the already existing game and is now available in the App store.
All of the others, though, are actual new adventures. Coming out first will be LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. The player will get to participate in the LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjutzu TV show, using their Spinjutzu skills to conquer foes and puzzles alike. If this sounds like it could be your kind of game, be sure to mark your calendar on 27 March.
Also coming out in springtime 2015 is which doesn’t have a concrete release date right now. This is an iOS title and is promised to feature dear old Bats as he teams up with his Justice League companions in an effort to defeat ne’er-do-well Brainiac before he can destroy Earth.
For LEGO, Summer seems to be the season to travel, see the world and pet some… Dinosaurs? That’s right, the franchise is hopping into the green Jeeps of LEGO Jurassic World, allowing players to relive the story of the classic Jurassic Park trilogy, along with the 2015 movie Jurassic World. This one will be available in June for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, 3DS, Wii U and Windows PC.
Closing off LEGO’s 2015, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will allow its players to play through the storylines of both The Avengers and its sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Coming out in Fall 2015, the game will be available on the same platforms as Jurassic World. You know, in case you managed not to let your platform of choice be devoured by hungry dinosaurs.
Ah ah ah… You didn’t say the magic word!
