2016 Release for Samurai Warriors 4 Empires
Koei Tecmo Europe has announced that the upcoming release of a new version of tactical action title Samurai Warriors 4, called Empires, is to come out on the 11th of March 2016 for PS4. Empires gives players an alternate view of what happened in Samurai Warriors 4, using the historical landscape as the setting for a strategy-focused game. You can create your own character, and set up a game which places them initially in the lower ranks of the army, allowing them to gradually progress until they are ready to rule the entire land through conquest.
Since the 2007 release of Samurai Warriors 2 Empires for PS2, this marks nine years without the Empires brand. This means, however that it has been revamped, and now includes:
- Improved battle gameplay
- Expanded governing system
- Exploration of the effects of building in-depth relationships and allies
