Take control of historical battlefields with Sid Meier’s Command series, out now!

Sid Meier’s acclaimed Command series of military-themed strategy games is headed to Steam. These classics are making their welcome return to gaming PCs worldwide courtesy of renowned publisher Atari. Comprising Crusade in Europe, Decision in the Desert, and Conflict in Vietnam, the trilogy challenges players with a need for smart, tactical thinking across a variety of real-world scenarios. Meier teamed up with historian Ed Bever to ensure historical accuracy while designing the games. All three games challenge task players with managing assets, strategically placing and moving them around the battlefield map, and outmaneuvering the enemy. Only careful strategic thinking and fast responses to rapidly changing battlefield conditions will lead to victory.

Although the games were originally released in 1985 and 1986 respectively, they’ve maintained a loyal following since. Crusade in Europe takes players through five scenarios, from D-Day to the Battle of the Bulge. Decision in the Desert tackles the North African campaign from World War II, which ran from 1940 to 1942. Finally, Conflict in Vietnam is set in the 70s, beginning with the defeat of the French colonial army and ending with the Viet Cong victory. The three Command games are available on Steam right now, for $6.99 each, and can also be purchased in a bundle, shaving 25% off the total price.
