Free demo of A Rite from the Stars
Those who were unsure of backing up the project of Madrid-based indie game developers Risin’ Goat can now play a free demo version of A Rite from the Stars, a 3D point ‘n click adventure game that will release early 2015 for PC, Mac, Linux, Wii U and the Ouya.
The developers have gained influence by many classics such as Broken Sword and Day of the Tentacle as well as Machinarium and The Cave. The inspiration does not stop here however which makes A Rite from the Stars somewhat of a tribute to the genre in question.
In A Rite from the Stars, you will travel to the Mystical Island of Kaikala where you will help a young mute boy named Kirm complete the tribe’s rite of passage so that he may say goodbye to his childhood. To complete the rite, Kirm must master the three disciplines: Wisdom, Courage and Spirit before finishing a final trial. Only than may he be called a legend amongst his tribe and with your help, he may be able to become legendary.
