Take a closer look at Frostpunk 2’s city building in this new developer video
Frostpunk games are seen as hard-core city-building RTS games, where surviving the harsh environment is the main objective for the player. The tension in the game lies in the possibility of something going wrong at any minute. We also hope that, judging by the footage we’ve seen so far, the story might also play a bigger role in the upcoming sequel. For now, a tiny bit of new footage is viewable in the latest developer video, which focuses on building the city and the dangers of those constructions. One of those dangers mentioned is the pollution of housing areas by industrial buildings, but you can also use other things to your advantage such as buildings that shield others from the cold. It’s clear that on the 20th of September when Frostpunk 2 releases for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, and PC, you will need to be strategic with your placements to survive.
