Final Fantasy XVI unveils demo and PC release date!
Square Enix has announced the release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI. Alongside the announcement, a free demo for the game was launched on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Final Fantasy XVI introduces a new storyline set in Valisthea, a land blessed by the Mothercrystals. The story follows Clive Rosfield, a warrior known as the “First Shield of Rosaria,” who is on a quest to protect his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix. Clive’s journey leads him to seek revenge against the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity wreaking havoc across the world.
Final Fantasy XVI is available for pre-order in two editions: the Standard Edition, which includes just the base game, and the Complete Edition, which includes the base game along with the DLC chapters Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. These DLC chapters can also be purchased separately or as part of the Final Fantasy XVI Expansion Pass.Players who pre-order the game will receive in-game items, including the Brave Blade weapon, Cait Sith Charm (Gil Boost Accessory), and Sixteen Bells Orchestrion Roll. Final Fantasy XVI launches on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17th. The game is already available on PS5.
