Potionomics opens up shop on consoles today
Voracious Games’ Potionomics: Masterwork Edition has arrived on consoles today, both digitally and in physical form. This expanded version of the acclaimed potion-crafting and shop management game, includes new features such as voice acting, additional difficulty settings and an Endless gameplay mode to enhance replayability. Potionomics combines potion brewing, deck-building mechanics, and RPG elements, set within the vibrant economy of Rafta. Players interact with various characters to unlock new recipes, gather ingredients, and develop their potion-selling skills through negotiation.
Key Features:
- Voice Acting: Sylvia’s journey is now fully voiced, enhancing the narrative connection with key characters such as Owl, Roxanne, Quinn, and Mint. Additional text languages are also available, including German, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese.
- New Game Modes: The new Endless mode allows continuous play, while “Capitalism” mode offers a challenge for sales enthusiasts, and “Cozy” mode provides a more relaxed experience. The “One Love/Free Love” options allow players to explore relationships with one or more characters.
- Negotiation Mechanics: Managing negotiations and stress is key to success, with the ability to form relationships with adventurers and other shopkeepers to unlock new negotiation tactics.
- Potion Crafting: Select the right ingredients to create potions that satisfy even the most demanding customers, while avoiding undesirable results.
Unique Characters: Rafta is filled with colorful personalities, each with their own motives and stories, adding depth to the player’s interactions.
Potionomics originally launched for PC on Steam on October 17, 2022. To bring the PC version in line with the console release, a free update is available that brings many of these features, including voice acting, new difficulty modes, and Endless gameplay. Additionally, a new paid DLC, the “Boss Finn Content Pack,” is available for $4.99 on Steam, adding new story content and features related to the character. The game is available for €39.99 (physical) and €29.99 (digital) across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S
