Toukiden: Kiwami Announced
TECMO EUROPE has announced today that the follow up to the succesful Toukiden; Age of Demons is currently in development for the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita. The game will be released across Europe on the 27th of March 2015.
In the world of Toukiden, Oni (which are demons) have always been tormenting mankind. A group of warriors called the Slayers have been training a long time in order to protect mankind from the Oni. However, because of the appearance of distortions in time and space, hordes of Oni have started to appear. These Oni would eat the souls of those they killed and have been capturing and imprisoning heroes in order to expand their rule. Oni have the ability to regenerate at a high speed, and only Slayers are able to combat them. And so they opened villages as sanctuaries to protect those who escaped from the claws of Oni.
Toukiden: Kiwami allows players to pick up the story from the beginning and explore the world of Toukiden. The game is a huge upgrade from the original, offering players the possibility of picking up the story where the orginal stopped and keep on continuing their adventure in protecting mankind.
Players will be able to customize their own character with a huge amount of weapons to choose from. These weapons can be forged and upgraded to fit their style while featuring 300 characters based upon fictional and historical Japanese figures.
The game will include an extensive mulitplayer mode where players will be acting as a group so they can take down the strongest Oni together. Players can also recruit NPC or local friends in order to help them take down their enemies
