Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Announced
2K announced The Handsome Collection for next-gen platforms, a bundle which consists of their critically acclaimed shooter-looters Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and all of their DLC. According to 2K, all of this has a value of €250, but the bundle will be available for purchase for €59.99. The new consoles allow better performance and updated HD graphics, if you’re considering upgrading or repurchasing borderlands on one of the new platforms you’ll be able to pick the game back up where you left off with all your loot and levels intact since the bundle feature cross-save functionality. Another great feature is a first in the series, 4-way split-screen, bringing the online co-op to the living room.
The bundle will cover the whole Handsome Jack story arc, from start in the Pre-Sequel to downfall in Borderlands 2, which means a LOT of gameplay for a reasonable price, especially with all the included DLC. For hardcore fans of the franchise 2K and Gearbox software also announced “The Handsome Collection Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition”, which will include the aforementioned games and dlc in a steel case, 12 exclusive litho’s and your very own remote controlled Claptrap steward bot which can be remote controlled with a smart-phone app, as well as talk, and stream live video. The exclusive edition is limited to 5000 pieces worldwide and will set you back €349.99. Both versions will release march 24 in America and march 27 for the rest of the world.
