Power Drive 2000 launched on Kickstarter
Instead of going back to the future, we’re going back to the past, or are we going back to the future?
Power Drive 2000 is an arcade racer, set in the year 2000, which according to the developers is the future. Megacom Games, the small game development studio behind this nostalgic title, claims that Power Drive 2000 is a “childhood imagination come to life” and it certainly is one of mine that comes to life as well.
With influence gained by a deep love for racing games and 80’s film, it is clear that the game will be a nostalgic safe haven for many of us. I mean, who doesn’t want to race a talking car in sci-fi inspired environments? The game simply screams Knight Rider and if you want to play it, you may want to head over to Power Drive 2000’s kickstarter campaign page – right here. The game is also acquiring votes to become Steam Greenlit so you may want to head over there as well.
Power Drive 2000 will feature a plethora of arcade goodness, here’s the list of the game’s features:
- Fast arcade racing with boosting and drifting mechanics
- Six unique game modes with most modes supporting online and local split screen multiplayer
