Battlefield 4
Battlefield 4 is coming, and it’s coming soon. Battlefield 3 managed to bring the scope and scale in multiplayer that the franchise is known for to consoles, unfortunately when it came to their singleplayer portion of the game it fell flat on its face. With poor AI and a campaign that couldn’t keep you enthralled while you were piloting jets, tanks, and watching as Paris was hit with a nuclear bomb.
The upcoming Battlefield 4 is returning and it hopes to continue the long history of large scale combat and marry it with a strong singleplayer. The new campaign seems to take a lot of its criticism to heart by stripping away some of its linearity and focusing instead on what Battlefield does best, giving you a wide open area to complete your objective.
Luckily you don’t have to sit there and wonder about how DICE plans to implement these changes, as they have released a 17 minute gameplay video as they tackle a mission in the singleplayer.
and no I didn’t accidentally mix up the link of the video with the Bonnie Tyler song that I have on a continuous loop at all times.
If you like what you see in the gameplay video you can go ahead a place a pre-order on the upcoming game at Origin. Battlefield 4 is set to grace the PS3, 360, and PC later this year.

Will also be available on PS4 and Xbox 3. Just saying. 😉
Technical stuff: There are some rumors that the PS4 and Xbox 3 version will only play it on true 720p at 60fps. I was kinda hoping they would be able to play it on 1080p, but as I said just rumors. I hope it will be in smooth 1080p. 🙂
I’m pretty curious about everything that concerns the new consoles actually :p
