Caves Of Qud now available on Steam Early Access
Whenever you hear a game being described by the terms “science-fantasy”, “roguelike” and “epic”, you just have to take a look at it. Caves Of Qud is such a game. Its being developed by Freehold Games, an indie development studio. So when we talk about a “roguelike” game, we’re talking about games based on the original Rogue and the Mystery Dungeon series. Caves Of Qud fits in with these titles and uses ASCII to create that real retro look and feel. Other features of the game include white-knuckle gameplay, extensive character customization (a mutation system allows the player to be really “creative”) and an open world. There’s also an extensive crafting system and enemies are simulated just as players is in terms of gear, allegiances and skills. There’s also permadeath!
