Final Fantasy versus 13 is now Final Fantasy 15
Among the many great things featured at Sony’s E3 press event was new footage of the eagerly awaited Final Fantasy versus 13. A title which eschews many of Final Fantasy’s mechanics and conventions, getting rid of the turn based combat in exchange for more action oriented fighting in a more modern less fantasy world.
Yet the title has had some trouble getting released with it being officially announced all the way back in 2006, instead Square Enix announced that the game has instead been shifted out of the FF XIII series and is now a fully numbered game becoming. Final Fantasy XV, making its way onto the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Though we don’t have a release date or window for the upcoming title, one would hope it makes its way onto shelves next year.

It’s sad how SE is giving their original fanbase a big “Fuck you guys!”. Lucky there’s still A realm Reborn FFXIV, which is still worthy to be called Fantasy.
